The challenge
Getting More Flexible
As an industry leader, Avid Technology needed a site that provided greater flexibility while emphasizing their accomplishments and main offerings in a marketable way. Concerned that visitors were leaving the site without being able to accomplish their intended tasks, Avid was interested in both emphasizing their major products and having the ability to internally manage and update their website while ensuring that visitors received improved access and support. It was also increasingly important that Avid have the ability to show the most relevant messaging to their audience, at the appropriate time.

For the new website Avid migrated from their existing CMS to Sitecore's holistic XP. With Sitecore's innate capabilities, this provided Avid's Website Strategy & Operations team with a new content management system and a flexible website that better served the needs of the organization.

Clay Tablet™

ClayTablet™ integration for content translation, and an information architecture designed specifically for their business pages were built in to increase the capabilities from a content management perspective.

Modular Content

The solution follows a contextual based datasource approach which helped Avid organize modular content, affording greater flexibility and increased reaction time to changing requirements. Modularity was also achieved within front-end code using a script block helper and directly in content fields using dynamic token replacement.

Growth & Security

Enhanced, custom workflow capabilities allow the content team to have security on their content releases, while not putting any obstacles to the efficiency of the content team. Features such as in-context content authoring and clever content tagging for future publishing help meet the creative and marketing demands of a best of breed enterprise website.
Approach Benefits
Maximize Messaging
The architecture maximizes Avid's ability to deliver the most relevant messages to the right audience member at the appropriate time. This ensures that the work Avid's marketing team puts into their brand messaging receives the attention it deserves.
Best Practices
The project follows Sitecore best practices and only extends Sitecore where necessary. This approach provides the Avid marketing team with new look and feel, maximum flexibility, a streamlined content editing workflow, and ultimate control over their visitor's experiences. The new site is a leap forward for Avid's digital division, refining their digital customer experience with key improvements across the platform. By following best practices standards Avid will be able to utilize any advancements Sitecore may release without complicating the customizations on the site.
