Sean Holmesby is a Solutions Architect for Hedgehog. This is his sixth consecutive year receiving the Sitecore Technology MVP award.
What is your favorite thing about being a Hedgehog?
Knowing I work with some of the best of best in the industry. I’m surrounded by people who are very knowledgeable in their field and do their best, so things don’t go pear-shaped.
How did you start working with Sitecore?
I moved from a developer role in producing video games for Xbox 360 and PS3. While searching for a new opportunity, I was picked up by a digital agency working with Sitecore-based clients. I did basic training to learn Sitecore 5.3 and built up my experience from there.
What’s on your Sitecore feature wish list?
I hope to see certification and training with Machine Learning. It would be a great way to brush up on the recent changes with technology.
What was your favorite Sitecore event and why?
2016 Sitecore Symposium in New Orleans. After the MVP Summit, we went go-karting, and I got to race Charlie (Charlie Turano, Hedgehog Solutions Architect).
If you were to write a book about yourself, what would you title it?
The Rollercoaster: Enjoying the Ups and Battling through the Downs.
Tell me something people would be surprised to know about yourself.
I have a major in astrophysics.
What’s your crutch word/phase?
If you had to eat one meal for the rest of your life, what would it be?
If would be the lobster rolls from the Soup Man on 55th street in NYC.
