Team leader Dan Galvez started his professional career when web-based technology took its baby steps in the 1990s; you could say that he and the digital world grew up side by side. Cutting his teeth in an industry known for specialization, Dan brings a unique insider’s perspective to the state of application development, web technologies, and content management solutions. With Hedgehog cofounder Peter Madsen, he started his first company building web applications and websites for local small businesses. From the day they received their first customer thank-you, they were hooked.
With impeccable timing Dan and Peter cofounded their second technology consultancy at the peak of the Dotcom collapse. Despite the economic complexities of the time, they were able to grow the company to serve an elite roster of enterprise clients. Focusing on the wealth management industry, the company became a recognized technology leader and worked with some of the biggest financial firms in the world.
In 2007 Dan and Peter cofounded Hedgehog with a simple yet far-reaching goal: help business “be better” across a wide range of industries. Hedgehog has since grown into a premier firm with global reach, offering end-to-end services from five campuses around the world. With Hedgehog, Dan helps yoke together leading-edge technology with design and marketing strategies that are as beautiful as they are intelligent. He has been able to instill in the Hedgehog team the ethos that originally drove Dan and Peter: help clients realize their goals with wildly successful solutions.
Dan has been married for over 19 years and has three wonderful children; when he is not running the company, snowboarding with the family, or participating in his children’s dozen different sports and activities, he is out rescuing and finding good homes for pot-bellied pigs.
Dan holds a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science with a minor in Business from Dowling College in Oakdale, New York. He couldn’t imagine a better place than Hedgehog to bring these twin talents together.
