Holiday Pro serves large retailers such as Barneys, Saks Fifth Avenue, and Bergdorf Goodman by providing custom-designed holiday decor and props. A division of the New York–based decor company Holiday Image, Holiday Pro wanted to debut an ecommerce site and online catalog that would showcase the sophistication of its products, which include wire sculptures, ornaments, chandeliers, specialty props, and trees. The company, which recently introduced an array of new holiday items, also offers oversized displays that are scaled for movie sites, retail environments, special events, and parties.

Challenge

Holiday Pro’s lead agency, Malkine Interactive, asked us to design the client’s new ecommerce experience. Having previously sold its products exclusively through printed catalogs and a sales team, Holiday Pro had to make its full catalog of merchandise available online to compete in today’s market.

Approach

Working closely with the client and Malkine Interactive, Loewy brought the Holiday Pro brand and catalog to life with animation and an interactive online catalog design. From the home page, users can experience the client’s extensive product line by browsing a carousel of product highlights from seven categories. Once engaged, the user can explore hundreds of products in a wide variety of colors, sizes, and patterns. We provided the designs for the new site’s key templates and worked closely with Malkine, which provided the back-end technology.
