Recently Apple released an iOS7 video in which it had a preview of the complete redesign of this new version. While all the new features and functionality is very cool, what we think is cooler is that, our client, ARTSEDGE’s Art Days application was used during the demonstration!
The ARTS DAYS application is a calendar application, developed by ARTSEDGE, a program of the Education department for The John F. Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts. ARTSEDGE is The Kennedy Center’s free digital resource for teaching and learning in, though, and about the arts.
The ARTS DAYS application helps ARTSEDGE complete this educational vision, bringing the history of the arts to millions worldwide. The app, which is sourced from The Kennedy Center’s Sitecore instance, gives the user a full year of events on everything connected to the arts. The app tells you about historical events, from key inventions to birthdays of some of their most beloved artists. Now you can easily know about all the important events for the arts right in the palm of your hand. With the ability to see all the historical events that happened on a particular day, setting calendar reminders, share the information to Facebook or Twitter, and even viewing related media, people can be engulfed in the educational value of the arts right from their iOS device.
